essynton, a mid-century modern community comprising 156 homes, is located nine miles south of Old Town
Alexandria, Virginia and but a few hundred yards from
Mount Vernon, the home of our nation’s first president. Named for the first
“First Family,” Wessynton was designed by architects Deigert & Yerkes, A.I.A.
and built by developers Miller & Smith in the late 1960’s to epitomize the
uniqueness of contemporary living.
