Welcome to Wessynton: A Community in Virginia

Wessynton Wren

Wessynton, near Mt. Vernon, VA, is a contemporary community of 156 home sites that was once the hunting grounds of the Doeg Indians.  Present day Wessynton was once part of the land contained in the grant to the Washingtons (and is named for our first family).  The homes in Wessynton were designed by the architects Deigert and Yerkes, A.I.A., harmonize with their natural setting, and exploit all of the values in the rolling terrain.  Waterways from the community lead to the Potomac through neighboring Little Hunting Creek.  Residents also enjoy the exclusive use of a swimming pool, community clubhouse, the Wessynton woods, and a playground for children.
